A Music Quiz

Since the link to the 80's music quiz has been inoperative for some time, I decided to make my own music quiz, in the spirit of the original. Listed below are one or two lines from a song. All the songs were popular, at least in the U.S., and each one is by a different artist. Your challenge is to figure out the ARTIST, and SONG TITLE, from the words given. To a true music lover, this one is horribly cruel...the original quiz on 80's music had me tearing my hair out for months !! This one is 99% 70's music...there may be a couple that were actually early 80's that slipped by me, but definitely nothing later than 1985. (I have since been informed that there are also three late sixties ones on here as well).

Best of luck to you, email me with your answers (as many as you could get), and I'll send you the full answer list in return (unless you got them all, and then I'll be amazed and tell all my friends !).

I have to amend the statement that used to occupy this space about not asking me for the answers unless you've sent me the ones you've gotten. I still won't send out the whole list, if you don't at least give it an attempt. I put a lot of hard work into this quiz, and the only feedback I get on it is from those hardy souls (bless you) who've taken the time to email me with their answers. It's not fair to them, and it isn't fair to me, to expect to just be 'given' the answers. Though hard to believe, what prompted the original statement, and this one, was that I'd occasionally get nasty emails DEMANDING that I send the list when they hadn't sent me anything but the demand itself. It's amazing how rude people can be, but fortunately they're the minority. However, this does not extend to asking me about one or two songs on it. I know a lot of folks find the site because they have a snippet of lyric running around in their heads and are desperate to find out who did it. That, I have NO problem with, and will be glad to give you the title and artist, just tell me which number you need answered.

A lot have emailed me as well to ask about the 80's quiz that I reference in my opening statement. Alas, it is no more. It wasn't mine, but belonged to a guy named Chris Hilberg. He never sent me the answers after I sent him the ones I got, (the dirty dog!), so even if I still had a copy of it, I wouldn't have all the answers to it. He took his site down some time ago, and I only realized it was gone when a visitor to my music page notified me of the dead link. Maybe someday I'll try to recreate it, but as of right now, it doesn't exist.

I also get a lot of 'who did this' emails, unrelated to the quiz, and I love those...and am glad to help when I can ! I know how frustrating it can be !
